  7. Fines will be strictly enforced (see below)
  8. DECISIONS OF THE DISTRICT DIRECTOR ARE FINAL, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Year End Award Qualifications:

  1. You are required to attend at least 2/3 of the shows this year.  We have 15 shows scheduled , so you must ride in 10 shows to qualify for year-end;

2.      You are required to get sponsors or donate money worth at least $200.00 by the following options:

a.       Get 1 - $200/$500/$1000/$2000 or more, Incentive Program Sponsor, by January so Sponsors can benefit as an Incentive Program Sponsor for the whole season .  Sponsor’s form must be completed and returned with the start date of the sponsorship. These Sponsors will be put on the website for advertisement and used for Incentive purchases by members.
or

    1. Donate 4 of the same purchased items for awards:  The items valued at 50.00 or more shall be used as year-end awards for the division of your choice.  You can bring the items to any show

or

    1. Donate $100 Added Money twice ($200 total) at any show:  If you choose the added money option, you may choose the division to which the money will go

or

d.  Payment Plan –Pay a little bit throughout the year towards the annual Award Fee $200 total per rider per horse for the NBHA end of year…15 NBHA shows x$14 = $210.  You will include your payment with your entries at each show.  If you do not attend all 15 shows then you are required  to make up the difference by November 30th.

  1. You are required to work at least 10 shows (entire duty(ies) you sign up for):

Working at shows:  Each person that works  a show needs to sign the working roster.  No signature no credit!!!!.  There will be sign up sheet at each race.

We don’t care if you have someone else at your assigned duty, but if there is no one at the position you signed up for you WILL NOT be awarded the “show worked” for that race.  No exceptions.  A detailed sign-up sheet will be provided and a reminder will be announced to make sure everyone is aware and has a good opportunity to meet this requirement.

  1. You are required to keep your NBHA membership current.  If your membership has expired more than 30 days, you will lose all your points and have to start over at time of renewal.

World Qualifier Points, Year End Points, Awards and Incentive Program Awards:

We will adhere to the NBHA Rule Book SECTION C Earned Points for NBHA World Qualifiers.

Example:  If Suzy Q places 1st and 2nd in the 2D riding two horses, she'll only receive points for 1st place, and the second-place points will go to the person who placed 3rd, and so on down the line.  If at the same race Suzy Q wins the 4D on her third horse, then she'll receive first-place points in that division, as well, because it's a different division.  Then, in the point standings, Suzy Q would have 5 points in the 2D and 5 points in the 4D, and the points would not have horse names attached, since points accumulate on the rider and not the horse.

2008 DISTRICT Year End Awards Points and Qualifications

Every rider will earn points on their horse(s) in the 1-10 point scale, even if they place in the same division, toward AZ02 year-end awards.  This WILL NOT affect NBHA National Points.

Qualification: each horse must have 10 shows/ 10 worked to qualify for Year-End and the 200.00 awards fee (lump sum or payment plan /or sponsorship/or Added money  requirements.

A member that rides any horse for the year may use another horse to run in place of due to sale, injury or illness.  Points will go toward the riders’ year-end total points.

All NBHA points will be accumulated January –DecemberPurchased items and Added money options must be complete by at the end of the November show .  All show’s worked must be complete by  the District Finals in December.    Any and all ties for Year-End awards will be decided by the rider who has ridden in the most shows then if both riders have attended the same amount of shows we will add all the times from your year and divided by the # of races.  If you had a knocked down barrel a time of 99.999 will be added in.  Who ever has the best time will win the tie.

Year-End awards ceremony will be in March 2008.  All Members are invited to attend award ceremony.                               Location to be determined.

The Member Incentive Program is another way to earn additional year-end prizes.  The prizes will be awarded to the top 4 members who have accumulated the most points.  Please TURN IN YOUR RECEIPTS by December Show or not later than December 31st  with the completed form .  The member with the most Incentive Fund points by turning in sponsor receipts (sponsor must be on the Sponsor Web page), wrangler receipts, obtaining sponsors and new members will win a saddle, the next highest points total will be 2nd place and so on to 4th  place.  No member can win the saddle two years in a row.   The date the sponsor acquired there sponsorship is very important.  Any receipts prior to the date of sponsorship will not be accepted.  It is important that you get your sponsors on board in January.  Minimum cost for a sponsor is $200.
